March Madness

Updated: Mar 24, 2022

It’s March Madness in the Gottschall household, and I’m not talking about NCAA basketball. A few weeks ago, I decided to make a more official project plan for our adventure, to make sure we stayed on task to get everything that we needed to do done, and boy was that eye opening. I mean, I knew we had a lot on our plates, but to see it in writing with due dates…wowza! There are so many things to do and to think about, to prep for this adventure, that it could easily make your mind explode. Of course, when you’re getting ready to sell your house, there are all of the things to do for that: finish projects, paint, clean, declutter, pack, etc.. But when you are selling your house to live in a travel trailer with no permanent address, that’s a whole other set of things to do and think about like: where will my mail go? – got a PO Box; where will our stuff go that we’re keeping? – got a storage unit; what about those extra vehicles – have to sell them; doctor’s appointments, Amazon subscriptions, credit card expiration dates, camper maintenance, vet records, the list goes on and on. See what I mean? However, I will say that I’m surprised, no shocked, at how well we are handling the stress and constant workload. We cram projects into every minute of the day right now and I think we are running off the excitement and anticipation of this adventure (and of course mild doses of caffeine). Our to-do list has more boxes checked than not, so we are in a good spot towards our goal of listing our house for sale in April. Fingers-crossed for a painless selling experience so we can hit the road in June!

Stay happy my friends,

Melissa
